DIMdump is one of the blogs I regularly check on, as it gives a unique insight into the stock photography marketplace from Bahar Gidwani, the CEO of Index Stock. Stock used to be nearly my entire income stream, and it still contributes about a third of my gross, so I try and stay abreast. The latest post is a cogent analysis of the trends of stock photo pricing. The short version: Microstock. It makes total sense from a business point of view, and is dreadful news to the artist who expects to derive any income from the rights to their work.
