Here’s another of those we-didn’t-used-to-have-this-problem problems. On my travels last month, I tried to do as much RAW file processing on my laptop as I could. I calibrated and profiled my laptop as with my Monoco calibration puck. However, there aren’t many options to alter my laptop display. I can only change the brightness level. The calibration picked the proper brightness setting, and I made sure my power settings maintained the setting whether I was on battery or plugged in (the default setting often resets the brightness lower when you’re on battery).
Oh, if only it was that simple. When I opened the road-corrected files on my desktop, they were dark. All the images needed brightening by about 15%. Oh well, I tried.
