Congratulations! 14 years is quite an accomplishment. I'll have to forward on your post to my wife.

Wonderful, and congratulations! That's how my parents met, through a classfied ad. In December, God willing, it will be 53 years for them.

Love the saddle-stitched invitation (and the mini-portfolio). I am cracking up over the fact that Robin thought it was kind of an "off" day for the personals. I'm glad she was wrong! Congratulations on 14 years!

Congratulations, good luck with the next 14 years.

I'm getting married in less than a month now, and I sure hope we will just as successful in our marriage. We didn't meet through the classified but I think you can relate to it anyway. It was at a dance event (Lindy Hop), and we were the last couple to leave the floor at 5 in the morning.

Kjell,

I saw from your blog that you're in Oslo. You might be interested in my impressions as a tourist in your city back in 2001: http://www.dougplummer.com/stories/misc04.html

And good luck with the marriage. It's the best move I ever made.

Really amusing to read, and very much to the point.

I suppose you chose your art museums based on your interest for visual art in the form of pictures, and I agree, it can be a bit depressing. After reading your blog for quite some time now, I guess that you would have enjoyed the Vigeland sculpture park much more. http://www.fortunecity.com/westwood/arch/769/Vigeland/
It's a large sculpture park dedicated to life, relationships and love between people of all kinds. Very uplifting compared to many of the paintings.
