I am a photographer because my dad was a photographer. When he was assigned to the Naval Air Station in New Orleans, starting in 1943, he shot a remarkable body of work of aircraft and ships and New Orleans scenes. I grew up looking at these photos.
I interviewed him this past fall and got some of the stories behind the making of these photographs. Here is the audio slideshow address.
