20,000 images so far this year, and now video. My storage is bursting at the seams, so I ordered another 4 bay Burly Box, pre-filled with four 1tb drives. I unpacked it, and I plugged it in. Four new drives showed up on my desktop. That's all the configuration it took. Given my checkered past trying to solve my storage problems (look here, here and here), I am profoundly grateful. It is the easiest storage addition I've ever made.
And with the decreasing cost of hard drives, it was $400 cheaper than 5 months ago, when I paid $2,000 for the exact same box.
That name again: Burly Box from MacGurus. Fantastic product, great people to work with.
Do you have the eSata version, or the Firewire version?
How noisy are they?

It's the eSata version, so it's the same speed as if it were an internal drive. It's also dead quiet.

I have a 4-bay Burly from MacGurus and it's been great. Reasonable size, quiet, fast, and versatile. Thumbs up.
