Last night at the Tractor Tavern. At the break the TapTone Syncopators performed their 25th reunion tour piece. This was the first precision clogging group in the Northwest 25 years ago. Two of the troupe live on my street, and I'm photographing the wedding of a third next month.
Note the dramatic quality difference between the Canon XH A1 and the HV-30 cameras in a tough lighting environment.

Hee hee. Around 0:35, I thought, "Wait, how is he getting both shots? Oh, he must be shooting with two..."
and then at 0:41, "hey, there he is with the second camera."
Not to take anything away from you exploring video, and it's great to see this performance, but honestly I'd love to see what you would have been doing with stills with this performance.
Do you find yourself missing shooting stills when you're doing the video work?

Video is a way different animal on both ends, capture and post, and I'll have a lot more to say about it soon.
