Just back from three long days at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. It's a pretty little school (2000 students) with an amazing theatre/fine arts program (Richard Jenkins, the dead dad in Six Feet Under, is an alum, and I got to photograph him and try not to be too star-struck), as well as serious nursing, biological and physical sciences departments. I tried over several days, but I could not get one single student to tell me anything they didn't like about IWU. "Well, I'm not looking forward to winter," was as objectionable as it got. The kids are passionate about this place.
An aside: in my continuing survey into what college marketing vehicles work, every college student I asked liked the viewbooks they saw when they were looking at schools. They get a lot of information out of a big, expensive printed admissions book. Print, apparently, is not dead yet.
Excellent set of photos Doug! I really like your style. Looking at your images, I can feel what it is like to be there. I can easily picture many of these images showing up on IWU's glossy printed brochure next year.

Nice set. I was just on the IWU campus this weekend. My girlfriend and I made the hour drive from Champaign, so that she could take the LSAT. It seemed like a pretty campus, but I wasn't impressed with Bloomington/Normal overall. And yes, winters are cold on the Illinois plains.
