So, I got an official letter today from a Florida attorney informing me I'm a creditor in a Chapter 11. It's one of my stock agencies, SuperStock.
They recruited me about a decade ago, promising a lot. I submitted a lot of images, was less than impressed with my sales, and I opted out of a contract renewal. I haven't heard from them in a long time—now I know why.
There isn't a lot of money at stake, about $150. Sales with them have been sporadic (12 in the past year, those shots above are them), and for low amounts by Rights Managed standards. There are 376 originals they still have, about 50 that I care about, that I'll have to see about extracting. SuperStock was a local Florida firm that got gobbled up (by A21) a few years ago, undoubtedly with borrowed money—I would bet they're a credit crunch victim.
You can see all my photos on the SuperStock site by typing either “Plummer” or “1307” in the search field.
