The Folkfloor from Doug Plummer on Vimeo.
Last spring I posted a pair of time lapse videos of the Folkfloor installation and deconstruction. My plan all along was to use this footage in a piece about the Folkfloor community, which is a small volunteer army that, for 22 years, has gathered to construct a temporary dance floor at the Northwest Folklife Festival. Here, finally, is the finished piece.
We still remember one year when we had the priviledge of helping break down the floor. This dance floor is inspirational!
When it needs replacement, we will contribute.

How wonderful! Thank you for working to finish this video. The time lapse piece you posted last year was cool, but hearing and seeing the full story is just delightful.
