Here's a dirty secret. I have yet to produce a video that I completely like. This is not a problem I have as a still photographer, where I know how to come back with the goods. I see my lack of skills in managing an unfolding story, I have no end of technical glitches from ineptitude, and I'm a slow editor. Did I mention a confidence problem? My clients aren't privy to these shortcomings, apparently, as the work keeps coming in. Fortunately, I'm not crippled by perfectionism, and no successful professional is. Good enough is, most of the time, good enough. I want my personal standards to exceed my capabilities, however, so that I have the drive to do something about it.
Stay tuned.
